What you can book

Evaluation, follow-up or a block of visits

Each is quoted in writing before you pay. How fees work has the rest.

  • 01
    First visit

    Evaluation

A full hour with one physical therapist. Your history, a hands-on exam, movement and lift or run testing, and a written plan. You get a written estimate before you pay.

  • 02
    Each visit after

    Follow-up

Treatment, loading and coaching with the same therapist. The length is set with you, not by a plan's limits, and your plan of care changes as you do.

  • 03
    Paid together

    A block of visits

Some people pay for a planned block of visits together. Before you agree, we write what it includes, its term, how to cancel and what is refunded if you stop early.

Paying us, or going through your plan

What a plan may reimburse

We do not bill Medicare or other plans. If you hope to be reimbursed, a receipt is what your plan asks for, and your plan decides.

The four who treat you

You work with one therapist from your first hour to your last. Each holds a Texas physical therapy license.

  • Mirella Alvarez, a physical therapist in a navy athletic polo, in the clinic gym

    Mirella Alvarez

    Physical Therapist, owner

    • Physical Therapist · TX Lic. 000000

Mirella opened Milepost so people who train could see one therapist for a full hour. She leads every first visit and works with runners and lifters on how they load and move.

  • Tremaine Stevens, a physical therapist in a teal polo, seated on a treatment table

    Tremaine Stevens

    Physical Therapist

    • Physical Therapist · TX Lic. 000000

Tremaine looks at the squat, hinge, press and carry with a bar in your hands. He is the therapist who offers dry needling, where state law allows it.

  • Clarissa Tolentino, a physical therapist in a maroon clinic polo, in the clinic gym

    Clarissa Tolentino

    Physical Therapist

    • Physical Therapist · TX Lic. 000000

Clarissa watches how you run: cadence, stride and strength, on the treadmill and on the road. She builds the plans for people coming back to a race or a training block.

  • Walid Jaradat, a physical therapist in a black athletic top, in the clinic gym

    Walid Jaradat

    Physical Therapist

    • Physical Therapist · TX Lic. 000000

Walid works with tendons and overuse: what to change, what to keep and how to build the load back up. He talks with your coach or trainer when you ask him to.

Beside the gym

Next door to the gym, not instead of it

Our clinic is on Liberty Avenue, next to a lifting gym, so many people come straight from training or go straight back to it. We write down which lifts and runs to keep, change or pause, and we talk with your coach or trainer when you ask us to.

  • One therapist for the whole hour

  • A plan in writing at the end of your first visit

  • A written estimate before you pay

Questions people ask first

Before you book

Do I need a referral?

In Texas, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one, and the state sets limits that your therapist explains at your first visit. If you were sent by a physician, bring their notes.

Do you take my insurance or Medicare?

We do not bill Medicare or other plans. You pay us directly and can send your plan an itemized receipt. Your plan may or may not reimburse you, and we cannot tell you in advance.

What if I pay myself?

That is how everyone pays here. Before your first visit you get a written good faith estimate, and you get a new one whenever your plan of care changes.

How long is a visit, and who treats me?

Every visit is a full hour with one physical therapist, and you keep the same therapist from your first hour to your last.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on what your evaluation finds, what you want to get back to and how your body responds. Your therapist explains what decides it and checks in each visit.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear what you train in and bring the shoes you run or lift in. If you have notes or results from a physician, bring them. If you use a watch, a lifting log or a training plan, bring that too.
