Tendons and overuse

A plan for what you load every week, so you know what to change and what to keep.

Walid and the team look at what you do most days and how your body takes it. The plan says what to change, what to keep and how to build the load back up, in steps you can follow without us in the room.

This care is for you if

  • Something nags at the same point in every run or session

  • You feel it after training more than during it

  • You do not know whether to rest or push through

  • You want a plan, not a guess

What we do

What happens in your hour

  • A history of your week

What you train, how often and what changed lately, taken down in detail.

  • A hands-on exam

Strength, range and how the area takes load, tested with you.

  • A loading plan

Steps to build the load back, with a way to tell how you are doing.

What to know before you book

  • What decides how many visits

That depends on your exam, how long you have had it and how much training you want to do. Your therapist explains what decides it and checks in every visit.

  • When to see a doctor first

See a physician first, or call 911, for chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. Your therapist will also send you to a physician if the exam points that way.

Questions about this care

Is rest the answer?

Sometimes some of it. Your therapist explains what to rest, what to keep doing and why.

Will I need imaging?

Not always. If your therapist thinks you need a physician's opinion first, they tell you.

Can I keep competing?

That is a decision we make with you and your coach, after your exam.
